The short answer: Venminder lists its Enterprise third-party risk platform at $125,000 for 12 months on AWS Marketplace, with every Enterprise module and no cap on users, vendors or contracts. What buyers actually sign is much smaller: recorded purchases on Vendr have a median of $10,790 a year, from $8,744 to $133,725. Control assessments, document collection and the virtual vendor management office are billed on top, a la carte or from a prepaid balance.

Every figure below was read on October 12, 2026 from a primary record: Venminder's own pricing page, its two AWS Marketplace listings, the license agreement attached to one of them, Venminder's direct terms and conditions, and Vendr's recorded contracts. Where a number does not exist publicly, we say so.

How much does Venminder cost?

Venminder does not print a dollar figure on its website. Its pricing page describes two packages, Professional and Enterprise, and sends you to sales for both. The one list price in public is the AWS Marketplace listing for the Venminder Third-Party Risk Enterprise Platform: one dimension, "Venminder TPR Enterprise: Includes all Enterprise modules (no customization)", at $125,000 for a 12-month contract, with the quantity fixed and auto-renewal switched on.

The same listing also stores 24-month and 36-month prices of $120,000 and $115,000, under tabs that promise savings of "up to 52%" and "up to 69%". Those percentages only add up if the two figures are totals for the whole term, which would make three years cheaper than one. That looks like a setup error rather than an offer, so treat $125,000 a year as the list price and get any multi-year figure from Venminder in writing.

The tenfold gap between the list price and the median is the most useful thing on this page. Vendr names two SKUs in its data, Venminder Enterprise and Venminder Professional, and the median sits far below the Enterprise list, so most recorded deals are Professional packages or Enterprise bought well under list. A community bank or credit union with a few hundred vendors should anchor on the median, not on AWS.

Professional, Enterprise and what costs extra

Both packages include unlimited users, vendors and contracts, so a growing vendor inventory does not push the price up the way it does with tools that bill per vendor. The price moves with three other things instead.

Add-on modules. Venminder lists Advanced Risk Assessment and Questionnaires, Advanced Workflows, Oversight Automation, SLA and Issue Management, single sign-on and API access as optional. Ask which of them sit inside Enterprise and which are separate lines on your quote.

Control assessments. This is the part most buyers come for and the part that is never in the platform price. SOC report reviews, financial health, business continuity and disaster recovery, cybersecurity, data protection, information security and privacy, contract compliance, CAIQ, SIG Lite and initial vetting are all ordered one at a time or funded through an annual flex package. Document collection, the virtual vendor management office and site audits are a la carte too, and ongoing monitoring is its own annual subscription.

Implementation. Venminder quotes 30 to 90 days. Ask whether onboarding is a fixed fee or included, and who loads your existing vendor inventory and contracts.

The contract terms that set the price after year one

There are two versions of Venminder's terms in public, and they disagree on the clause that matters most.

Clause Direct terms and conditions AWS Marketplace license agreement
Price increase after year oneNo more than 10% a yearCapped at 3%, once a year, 30 days notice
Order form discountsApply for one yearInitial term only, then current retail prices
Renewal1-year auto-renewal, 90 days notice to stop1-year auto-renewal, 90 days notice to stop
Prepaid service balanceUnused committed balance forfeited and expiresFlexible Services Plan reset and billed annually
Late paymentPer order form1.0% a month

Read together, the terms say three things. The first-year discount disappears at renewal, so the real price is the retail price, and that is the number to negotiate. The cap on increases is either 3 or 10 percent depending on which paper you sign, which is a 7-point difference compounding every year. And any assessment balance you prepay and do not use is gone at the end of the term, so size the flex package to the assessments you will actually order, not to a vendor list you hope to review.

The 90-day notice window is the deadline people miss. Put the date in whatever tracks your renewals the day the contract is signed. If your institution already runs its software renewals through procurement software with approval workflows, log the Venminder notice date there with the price cap clause attached, so whoever picks up the renewal knows what they are allowed to refuse.

Venminder vs competitors on price

Third-party risk tools price on very different meters, so compare the shape of the deal before the number. These are the public figures we could verify for the vendors that show up on the same shortlists.

Vendor Pricing meter Public figure
VenminderPackage, unlimited vendors; assessments a la carte$125,000 list (Enterprise, AWS); $10,790 Vendr median
UpGuardVendors monitored$1,750 a month billed annually for 50 vendors, $79 a month per extra vendor
WhisticPlatform, unlimited vendors, 25 assessments in Core$22,500 Vendr median, $13,350 to $45,000
PanoraysVendors by band$21,700 Vendr median, $12,000 to $34,900
VendictPlatform$15,000 Vendr median, $13,500 to $20,200
SecurityScorecardDomain slots$23,619 Vendr median, $12,420 to $135,395
BitsightPackage and portfolio size$23,640 Vendr median; CFPB "large TPRM package" $170,798.40
OneTrust Third Party ManagementVendor inventory and paid usersUK G-Cloud list GBP 84,100 for 500 vendors and 5 users

On the medians, Venminder is the cheapest platform on this list, and unlimited vendors makes it cheaper still for a large inventory. The catch is the assessments: Whistic's Core package includes 25 of them, while Venminder sells its analyst-performed reviews separately. If your team writes its own SOC report reviews, that difference is irrelevant. If you want Venminder's analysts to do them, add the flex package to the comparison. Our vendor risk management software guide compares these tools on features, and the SecurityScorecard pricing page shows how slot-based contracts behave.

How to get a fair Venminder quote

Send the same four facts to Venminder and to two competitors, and the proposals become comparable.

  1. Your vendor count by tier. Critical, high, moderate and low. It does not change Venminder's platform price, but it sets the number of assessments you will buy.
  2. Assessments a year by type. How many SOC reviews, financial reviews and BC/DR reviews you need done for you, and how many your own staff will do.
  3. The package and modules. Professional or Enterprise, and which add-ons you really need on day one. SSO and API are often cheaper to add later than to carry unused.
  4. The paper. Ask for the 3 percent renewal cap from the marketplace agreement on a direct contract, the discount extended past year one, and any unused prepaid balance carried forward.

Remember who you are negotiating with. Venminder has been part of Ncontracts since September 2024, so a Venminder versus Nvendor bake-off is two products of one company. Our Ncontracts competitors breakdown covers the independent alternatives if you need real competitive tension.

Where ComplianceOfficer fits

Venminder tells you whether a vendor is safe to rely on. It does not tell you when the rules about relying on vendors change, and those move too: the interagency third-party risk guidance for banks, the NCUA's vendor due diligence expectations, state cybersecurity rules such as New York's Part 500 third-party provider section. ComplianceOfficer keeps a register of those obligations, checks the primary sources every day, explains each change in plain language and drafts the policy update for the gap you mark. It costs $149 a month, and the scan at the top of this page shows the register for a bank. For the rest of the bank program, see bank compliance software.

Questions buyers ask

How much does Venminder cost?

Venminder lists its Third-Party Risk Enterprise Platform on AWS Marketplace at $125,000 for a 12-month contract, with all Enterprise modules and no limit on users, vendors or contracts. Recorded Venminder purchases on Vendr, read October 12, 2026, have a median of $10,790 a year and a range of $8,744 to $133,725. Control assessments and managed services are priced on top, a la carte.

Does Venminder charge per user or per vendor?

Neither. Venminder's own pricing page says both the Professional and Enterprise packages include unlimited users, vendors and contracts. The quote moves with the package, the add-on modules and the volume of assessments or managed services you prepay, not with seat or vendor counts.

Does Venminder have a free plan?

No. Venminder publishes two packages, Professional and Enterprise, both priced by contacting sales. We found no free tier and no self-serve trial on its site or its marketplace listings.

How much can Venminder raise the price at renewal?

It depends on which contract you sign. Venminder's direct terms allow increases of no more than ten percent a year after the first year. The license agreement on its AWS Marketplace listing caps retail price increases at 3 percent, once a year, with 30 days notice. Under both, discounts on the order form apply only to the initial term.

Is Venminder owned by Ncontracts?

Yes. Ncontracts acquired Venminder on September 4, 2024, in the transaction in which Hg bought out Gryphon Investors. Venminder is still sold as its own third-party risk platform alongside Ncontracts' Nvendor.
