Regology alternatives and competitors, priced against the $1,700 seat
Regology is the only regulatory change specialist that prints its price: $1,700 per user per month, on a three-year contract. That is $20,400 a seat each year. Its competitors split into two groups, enterprise platforms that quote (CUBE, Corlytics, Archer, ServiceNow) and flat-priced tools for lean teams. ComplianceOfficer is the second kind, at $149 a month for the whole firm.

The bill by team size
Regology pricing at the team sizes that actually buy it
Per-user pricing is fair when everyone who touches the tool is a heavy user. In compliance that is rarely true. One analyst triages the alerts, two or three business owners need to see the changes that land on their processes, and the general counsel wants the quarterly report. On a per-seat meter every one of them costs $20,400 a year.
Vendr's recorded contracts put the median Regology buyer at $85,000 a year, which is almost exactly four Professional seats at list. That fits the pattern: a small central team plus a few reviewers, signed for three years.

§ 03 · Read the plan table
What Regology Professional includes, and what is Enterprise only
The $1,700 seat is the Professional plan. Regology's own feature table, read on 5 October 2026, shows a dash in the Professional column for every item on the right. Several of them are the parts a compliance team needs to prove it acted on a change, not only that it saw one.
In Professional
- US federal coverage and all 50 states
- Smart Law Library and search within US content
- Regulatory change alerts and impact assessment workflow
- Bill tracking and version tracking of laws and rules
- Downloadable and automatically emailed reports
- The Reggi assistant with citations, in-app support
Enterprise only
- Customizable regulatory topics
- Global coverage
- Enforcement actions
- Mapping policies, risks and controls to clauses
- Configurable dashboards
- Team and individual level reporting
- Risk, task and policy management
- Controls testing
- GRC integrations and custom API
- 24/7 cloud IT support
The line that matters most is the mapping of policies and controls to regulatory clauses. Without it, an alert tells you a rule moved and leaves the "so what for our manual" step to a person. ComplianceOfficer does that step on every plan: each change on your register is checked against your policies and the update is drafted for your review.
The competitors
Regology competitors compared on price, meter and fit
Public figures only. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the table says so rather than guessing. Read between 28 September and 5 October 2026.
| Tool | Best for | Public price | Metered on | Where it beats Regology |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bloomberg Regology | Legal and compliance teams that research US statutes and bills | $1,700 per user a month, 3-year contract. Vendr median $85,000 | Per user | Baseline |
| CUBE | Global banks and insurers with multi-country rulebooks | No pricing page; its Azure listing carries a $1.00 placeholder | Quoted | Breadth outside the US; absorbed Thomson Reuters Regulatory Intelligence |
| Corlytics | Financial institutions linking rules to policies | No pricing page, no marketplace listing, no US federal award found | Quoted | Policy mapping is core rather than an Enterprise add-on |
| Archer (Compliance.ai) | Existing Archer GRC customers | AWS listing priced at a $9,999,999 placeholder | Quoted, inside the Archer suite | Change alerts land in the same system as risks and controls |
| ServiceNow IRM | Companies already running ServiceNow | UK G-Cloud reseller lists: Regulatory Change Management sits in IRM Professional (GBP 202.50 per operator a month) and Enterprise (GBP 303.75), not Standard | Per operator | Workflow and tasking in the platform IT already owns |
| FiscalNote | Government affairs and policy tracking | Request pricing. Vendr median $24,226 ($19,385 to $63,188); a DoD award shows $6,750 per user | Per user | Legislative and lobbying intelligence |
| RegASK | Product regulation in consumer goods and life sciences | Custom annual subscription, no free trial | Coverage (markets, product categories), not seats | No seat meter; product and market scope instead |
| ComplianceOfficer | One to three people who own the register | $149 a month or $894 a year; $298 a month for up to 3 people | Flat, per firm | Price, month-to-month terms, policy gaps drafted on every plan |
The full arithmetic for each of these, including what sets the bill at ServiceNow and Archer, is on regulatory change management software pricing. If you are weighing Regology against a broader GRC suite instead, the OneTrust competitors and LogicGate pricing pages cover the platforms that bundle a change module.
Fit, honestly
When Regology is the right buy and when a Regology alternative is
Keep Regology if
- Your lawyers research statutes across many states and need a searchable library of 16 million plus documents.
- You track pending bills and want their impact on existing laws flagged before they pass.
- Change alerts must flow into ServiceNow, Archer or Diligent, which needs the Enterprise plan.
- You want Bloomberg's legal content behind the tool and have budget for several seats.
Choose a flat-priced alternative if
- One person owns compliance and needs to know which rules on the firm's own register changed this week.
- The output you owe is an updated policy and a dated record of the review, not a research memo.
- A three-year commitment is hard to justify before you have seen a year of alerts.
- Business owners need to see changes without each one becoming a $20,400 seat.
ComplianceOfficer builds your obligation register from your sector, regions and frameworks, watches it every day, emails the owner when a rule moves with the source that published it, flags the policy or control the change touches and keeps an audit trail you can export as CSV. How the daily watch works is on regulatory change management software, and the policy side on policy management software.
New owner, next renewal
Bloomberg Regology contract questions to settle before you renew
Bloomberg Industry Group bought Regology on June 3, 2026. Acquisitions rarely change a contract in force, but they often change the next one: packaging gets folded into a larger catalog, list prices get reset and renewal terms follow the acquirer's paper. If your renewal falls in the next 12 months, the list on the right is worth an email to your account manager now.
- 1. The renewal rate. Ask for the per-user price at renewal in writing, and a cap on any increase. The published $1,700 is a three-year rate, so a one-year renewal may be priced higher.
- 2. Seat reductions. Confirm whether you can drop users at the anniversary or only at the end of the term.
- 3. Assignment and paper. Ask whether your agreement stays with the Regology entity or moves to Bloomberg terms at renewal, and get the new terms before the notice window opens.
- 4. Export. Your impact assessments, task history and mappings are the audit evidence. Get the export format and the deletion timeline after termination in writing.
- 5. The Professional to Enterprise gap. If you need clause mapping or a GRC integration, price that step now, because it is where a renewal grows.
Switching
How to move from Regology without losing your audit trail
1
Read the notice window
Find the renewal date and how many days of notice the order form needs. Diary it 30 days earlier.
2
Export the evidence
Download impact assessments, task logs and reports while you still have access. Examiners ask for history, not only the current state.
3
Build the register
Run the scan at the top of this page with your sector, regions and frameworks. Save it and the daily watch starts.
4
Run one cycle in parallel
Compare a month of alerts from both tools against your register before the old contract ends.
Questions buyers ask
Who are Regology's competitors?
The closest are other regulatory change and regulatory intelligence tools: CUBE (which absorbed Thomson Reuters Regulatory Intelligence), Corlytics, Archer with its Compliance.ai acquisition, ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management, FiscalNote and RegASK. For a team that mainly needs to know which rules on its own register changed and what that means for its policies, ComplianceOfficer covers that job at a flat $149 a month.
How much does Regology cost?
Regology publishes its Professional plan at $1,700 per user per month with a three-year contract, which is $20,400 per user a year and $61,200 per user over the term. Enterprise is quoted. Vendr's recorded contract data, read on 5 October 2026, shows a median buyer paying $85,000 a year, roughly four Professional seats at list.
Is Regology owned by Bloomberg?
Yes. Bloomberg Industry Group announced on June 3, 2026 that it had acquired Regology, and the product now trades as Bloomberg Regology. For a current customer the practical questions are about the next renewal: whether the per-user rate holds, whether the contract is assigned unchanged, and how your data and workflows can be exported if you leave.
What is the best alternative to Regology for a small compliance team?
For a team of one to three people, a flat-priced tool usually wins, because Regology bills every user and its published rate assumes three years. ComplianceOfficer charges $149 a month for one owner or $298 a month for up to three people, watches the rules on your register daily and drafts the policy updates. It does not replace a 50-state statute research library.
Does Regology require a three-year contract?
Its published Professional price does. The pricing page reads $1,700 per user per month with a three-year contract. Shorter terms and Enterprise terms are negotiated. If you sign three years, ask for the right to reduce seats at each anniversary, because most GRC agreements let you add users mid-term but not remove them until renewal.
What does Regology Professional include?
Per the plan table read on 5 October 2026: US federal and all 50 states, the Smart Law Library, regulatory change alerts and impact assessments, bill tracking, search within US content, downloadable and emailed reports, and the Reggi assistant. Customizable topics, global coverage, enforcement actions, mapping policies and controls to clauses, GRC integrations and API access are listed for Enterprise only.
How long does it take to switch from Regology?
The setup on our side takes minutes: pick your sector, regions and frameworks, and the register is built and watched from that day. The real constraint is your contract. Check the notice window and the renewal date first, export your impact assessments and task history before access ends, and run both tools in parallel for one review cycle.
Watch every rule on your register for less than one Regology seat costs a month
One register, watched daily, with the policy update drafted when a rule moves. $149 a month for one owner, $298 for up to three people, month to month. Compare every plan on pricing.
