ZenGRC pricing and ZenGRC cost under one flat rate, priced against six GRC rivals

ZenGRC prints no price. Software directories put it at about $2,500 a month, roughly $30,000 a year, plus onboarding, and ZenGRC says that one flat rate covers unlimited users, frameworks and vendors. That makes it expensive for a startup with one SOC 2 and cheap for a team running four frameworks, because every rival below charges for the thing ZenGRC gives away.

ZenGRC cost evidence, source by source

We checked the six places a GRC price usually turns up. Five of the platforms ZenGRC competes with publish a rate card in at least one of them. ZenGRC publishes in none, which tells you how the first call will go: whoever names a number first sets the anchor.

The directory figure is the only dollar amount in circulation, and it comes from vendor-submitted listings, not a contract. Some competitor blogs add tier estimates of $2,500 to $3,500 a month for a professional plan and $6,000 a month and up for enterprise. We could not trace those to ZenGRC, so we do not rely on them below.

What ZenGRC says the price includes and what can still move it

ZenGRC's pricing article, updated 9 September 2026, is unusually specific about the unit and silent about the number. It says customers pay a single flat rate rather than separate fees for users, frameworks, vendors or core capabilities. Two sentences later it lists what can change the total.

Item ZenGRC's wording What to get in writing
UsersUnlimited, no seat limitsNo user count anywhere in the order form
FrameworksNo per-framework chargesAdding a framework mid-term is free
VendorsUnlimited vendorsNo third-party inventory meter
AI control assessmentsIncluded, not a separate moduleNamed in the included scope
ImplementationExpert-guided, named success managerThe onboarding fee as a fixed figure
"Additional modules"Can affect total costA list of every module that is not included

The last row is the one that matters. "Flat" describes the meter, not the scope. Business intelligence portals, trust centers and content registries all sit in ZenGRC's product menu, and a flat rate on the core does not tell you which of those are inside it.

§ 04 · The framework count decides it

ZenGRC against per-framework pricing at one, three and five frameworks

Annual list arithmetic for a company of about 100 people. ZenGRC at the directory starting price, the others from the rate cards they publish on AWS Marketplace. Before discounts, audit fees and implementation.

Platform How it meters 1 framework 3 frameworks 5 frameworks
ZenGRCFlat rate~$30,000~$30,000~$30,000
Drata$25,000 platform + $7,500 each$32,500$47,500$62,500
Secureframe$7,500 platform + $7,500 first$15,000QuoteQuote
Sprinto$7,500 platform + $2,000 each$9,500$13,500$17,500

Two readings. Against Drata, ZenGRC is cheaper from the first framework and the gap grows by $7,500 with each one you add. Against Sprinto, ZenGRC never catches up on price, and the reason to pay more is scope: risk registers, vendor programs and audit workflows that a SOC 2 automation tool does not try to cover. Secureframe lists only its first framework publicly, so quote anything past one. The full rate cards are on our Drata pricing and Sprinto pricing pages.

Honest comparison

ZenGRC pricing against Hyperproof, LogicGate, Onspring, Vanta and Scrut

The GRC platforms ZenGRC loses deals to, with the best public price for each. Medians are Vendr recorded contracts; list prices are the vendor's own AWS Marketplace cards. Where a rival wins, the last column says so.

Platform Best public price Bill grows with Better than ZenGRC when
ZenGRC~$2,500 a month, directories onlyModules outside the coreBaseline
Hyperproof$41,400 medianPrograms counted monthlyYou want a deeper audit and control testing workflow
LogicGate$53,784 medianApplications and Power UsersYou need to build custom risk workflows without code

Know which product you are quoted

ZenGRC and ZenGRC Pro are two platforms under one name

The company started in 2009 as Reciprocity, with ZenGRC as its product. In 2022 it began rebuilding the platform under the internal name ROAR. The company later traded as RiskOptics, and when it took the ZenGRC name for itself, ROAR became ZenGRC Pro. ZenGRC's own announcement says ZenGRC Pro is the same product as ROAR under a new name.

For a buyer this has two consequences. First, a quote that just says "ZenGRC" may be for either platform, and the newer one is where development effort goes. Second, any review, screenshot or price estimate written before the rename may describe the older product. Ask the rep which platform you are buying, whether a move between them is free, and whether your price carries over if you move.

Before you sign

How to negotiate a ZenGRC quote

  1. Bring the anchor. ZenGRC has no published rate to defend, so open with the comparison above and a target near the directory figure.
  2. Make "flat" contractual. Have the order form state that users, frameworks and vendors are unlimited for the term and at renewal.
  3. List the exclusions. Ask for every module that is not included, priced, so a trust center or BI portal does not appear in year two.
  4. Fix onboarding and the renewal. Get the one-time onboarding fee as a number and a written cap on the renewal increase.

What ComplianceOfficer does next to ZenGRC

ZenGRC maps controls to the frameworks you load and collects the evidence. It does not tell you when a federal or state rule behind one of those controls changes, or what that change means for your policies.

That is the job ComplianceOfficer does. It keeps a register of the US obligations that apply to your company, checks the primary sources every day, explains each change in plain language and drafts the policy update for every gap you mark. It costs $149 a month for one owner, with no framework count. If you are still choosing a platform, our compliance software pricing guide covers the rest of the market.

Questions buyers ask

How much does ZenGRC cost?

ZenGRC publishes no price. Its pricing URL redirected to a demo request form on October 15, 2026, and its own pricing article says there is no public price list. Software directories list a starting price of about $2,500 a month, roughly $30,000 a year, plus a one-time onboarding fee. ZenGRC does not confirm that figure, so treat it as an opening anchor, not a quote.

Is ZenGRC pricing per user?

No, according to ZenGRC. It describes one flat rate that covers the platform with unlimited users, frameworks and vendors, and says core modules and AI control assessments are included rather than sold separately. The same page also says modules, AI features, users, frameworks and implementation services can affect total cost, so get the flat scope written into the order form.

Does ZenGRC charge per framework?

ZenGRC says frameworks are managed under the same pricing model without additional per-framework charges. That is the main commercial difference from Drata, which lists each framework at $7,500 a year on AWS Marketplace, Secureframe at $7,500 and Sprinto at $2,000. For a program carrying three or more frameworks, a flat rate usually wins.

What is the difference between ZenGRC and ZenGRC Pro?

ZenGRC is the original platform the company launched under its Reciprocity name. ZenGRC Pro is the rebuilt platform that began as an internal modernization project called ROAR in 2022 and was renamed when the company, later known as RiskOptics, took the ZenGRC name. Ask which of the two a quote covers, because migration terms differ.

Is ZenGRC cheaper than Hyperproof?

Usually, if the directory starting price holds. Hyperproof has a recorded median contract of $41,400 a year on Vendr and meters programs. At about $30,000 a year with unlimited frameworks, ZenGRC sits below that median. Hyperproof publishes no list price either, so the honest comparison is two quotes on the same scope.

Is ZenGRC on AWS Marketplace?

We found no ZenGRC listing on AWS Marketplace on October 15, 2026, no recorded contracts on Vendr and no UK G-Cloud listing. That matters because Drata, Vanta, Secureframe, Sprinto and Scrut all publish rate cards on AWS Marketplace, so ZenGRC is the one platform in this group with no public price anywhere a buyer can point to.
